Overview of Role
The Carpet Cleaning Technician’s role will include but is not limited to:
- Completing both in-house and external training (provided and paid for by the company) in carpet, upholstery and other cleaning services
- Completing written, oral and skill performance tests
- Using and conducting general maintenance of machinery and vehicles
- Providing excellent client experiences through high-quality cleaning services, client interaction & recommendations of products and services
- Preparation of daily paperwork and invoices/receipts of payments from customers
- Following policies & procedures
- Flexibility with time, as each day your starting and finishing time will vary
- Working efficiently and effectively on your own and with a team
- Servicing Rockhampton, Yeppoon, and surrounds
- Opportunity for advancement, bonuses, and pay increases
Requirements for the ideal candidate:
- Class ‘C’ manual driver’s licence
- Excellent English communication skills
- Work efficiently without supervision
- Be available to work between Monday and Friday, 6am – 6pm
- Pass a physical and drug test
- Competent in basic computer skills
- Willing to travel to Brisbane for training and exams for certification
- Follow directions from supervisors
- Have an employment history demonstrating a strong work ethic
- All our technicians must pass a criminal history check to be able to work with our clients

Position: Full-Time Carpet Cleaning Lead Technician (38-45 HOURS PER WEEK)

We are looking to add 2 Lead Technicians to our team in preparation for our extra busy season in December/January and our expected growth in 2024.
Responsibilities
- Delivering high-quality cleaning services to residential and commercial clients
- Work efficiently and effectively on your own and with a team
- Follow policies & procedures
- Inspect and assess items to be cleaned for damage, stains, and specific cleaning requirements, providing recommendations to clients as needed
- Uphold our commitment to outstanding customer service, addressing client concerns and questions with professionalism and courtesy
- Complete regular maintenance on vehicles and equipment
- Participate in fortnightly team meetings by presenting opportunities, challenges & solutions to enhance service quality and contribute to the company’s growth initiatives
- Uphold a clean and organised work environment in accordance with company standards
- Complete training in carpet, upholstery and other cleaning services from Diamond Carpet Cleaning and professional cleaning schools
- Preparation of daily paperwork and invoices/receipt of payment from customers
- Support, encourage, teach & guide other team members when working as a team
Qualifications
- Experience in the cleaning industry is an advantage but not required. Training will be provided
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate & encourage team members towards achieving performance targets
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and team members
- Problem-solving skills to address unexpected challenges and provide effective solutions
- Valid manual driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift and move heavy equipment and household items
- A clean criminal history
- Available Monday – Friday 6 am to 6 pm
- Available for occasional evening and weekend work (paid as overtime)
