SIX QUESTIONS TO ASK ANY CARPET CLEANER BEFORE YOU LET THEM INTO YOUR HOUSE
Any Tom, Dick or Harry can start a cleaning business (and they do). That’s why we are going to give you this valuable insider information. Armed with these six questions you will be able to hire an ethical cleaning company. As well as a company who does deep down cleaning rather than a company who only does superficial cleaning.
Before you make a decision you might regret later take the time to get the answers to these questions.
1. Do you guarantee your services in writing?
Not all companies stand behind their work. The company should be confident in their work and they should have a written guarantee they can show you.
For example our company has an ironclad 100% no risk guarantee. It is, ‘The most detailed clean ever… or it’s free.’
If you are ever unhappy with our work call us and we will come back and fix it for FREE. If you are still unhappy we will refund ALL of your money (every cent). You cannot lose with our company.
2. Do you offer written quotations ahead of time?
Asking this question protects you against any nasty surprises when the carpet cleaner arrives or when it comes time for payment. You should know EXACTLY what the job will cost before any work is begun.
Our company comes to your home and gives you a written quotation usually at a separate time to the job. We take the time to ask about your desires for your carpet and let you know what we can and cannot do. In some cases (our country clients) we do quote over the phone because it would be very costly to travel one or two hundred kilometres for a quotation.
3. Do you use a truck mounted cleaning machine?
If you only want a superficial clean than a portable or rented carpet cleaner will do. But if you want a deep down clean that removes bacteria, dust mites, pollen, smoke and much more, you will need to hire a company with a truck mounted cleaner. The truck mounted cleaner has much more power than a portable enabling it to remove more soil as well as bacteria and other critters. It also heats the water; this cleans better as well as disinfects your carpet.
4. Are your technicians IICRC qualified?
Anybody can start a carpet cleaning business. It is not necessary to have experience or training. That’s why asking this question is so important. The IICRC is the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration. They provide certification in the carpet cleaning industry. You cannot buy their certification. You can only obtain it through education, experience and high performance on written formal exams. All our company’s technicians are IICRC certified for both carpet cleaning and upholstery cleaning.
5. Can you show me references or satisfied clients?
We began collecting feedback from our clients in November 2006. We now have great comments from dozens of our clients we have included many of these on our Client Testimonials page.
6. Are you insured?
The company must be able to answer yes to this question for your safety, assurance and peace of mind. In the event of an accident or
damage to your property who is going to pay? Asking this question will make sure it is the cleaning company and not yourself.
Of course, we can say YES.
If you receive positive answers to all of these six questions then you know you have a company you can be confident in. Do your due diligence!
